Samsung TV Series Deals

Need clarification on the various Samsung Series available for HDTVs? Here's a brief overview. There are 5 different series. They are the 9000, 8000, 7000, 6500 and the 5000 Series. Samsung 9000 Series represents the best and the thinnest HDTVs the company offers. Television models here also rank among the priciest. As the series numbers go down, the feature sets and the prices generally also go down.

Samsung's 9000 Series represents the company's flagship line of HDTVs. These television sets are the cream of the crop, featuring the latest technologies and the most innovative designs. Select a Samsung 9000 Series HDTV and know that you're getting an ultra-thin television with 3D support, a refresh rate of 240Hz and true full array LED backlighting. You'll also get a cool color touch screen remote which can be used to watch content from other sources, such as your TV, while the television is being used for another program.

The Samsung 8000 Series is a notch below the 9000 Series in terms of design, but the performance is not all that much different. While not as thin as the models found in the 9000 series, Samsung 8000 televisions have comparable feature sets. Users have the ability to watch both 2D and 3D content in Full HD 1080p. The refresh rate is 240Hz. Wi-fi capability is built in. Edge backlit technology with local dimming functionality is found on Samsung 8000 HDTVs.

As you go down the list to through the 7000 to the 6000 series, you'll find the HDTV models getting more and more affordable. The main differences between the premium Samsung HDTVs and these are found in the backlighting and the refresh rates. There are also a handful of other features that may not be included.
